Diving Instruction from Olympian

Girls from the upper Years of our Junior School and the Senior School have been very privileged to be coached by one of Australia’s top divers and Olympic medallist, Anabelle Smith.

During lunchtimes the Marigold Southey Sports & Aquatic Centre pool deck has been buzzing with excited young divers over the last few weeks – as well as many on-lookers peering through the glass windows, to hone their diving techniques.

The girls have learnt valuable skills and expanded their repertoire during these sessions. Word quickly spread and the numbers increased over the sessions offered.

It was a fantastic opportunity to be taught by such a talented young diver and coach.

Langley Templeton ran out winners after a 5-0 win over Davis in the match of the tournament. Langley were well served by their Hockey experts Madeleine Hooker and Amelia MacLachlan whilst the Hall sisters provided great backup in defence.

Davis were well led by Sarah Marriott and Daisy Turnbull whilst Millicent Brown produced her best game for her House and never stopped trying.

In the other game Holmes Kilbride scored a 3-1 victory over Beaulieu Blair. Holmes were well served by Lilli Holmes, Adelaide Mitchell and Paula Chen whilst Claudia Sowerby and Emma Froomes were standouts for Beaulieu Blair.
