At St Catherine's School, an extensive student support program is in place from the Early Learning Centre (ELC) through to Year 12. We provide students with a balanced and challenging curriculum and co-curricular program built on a positive and cohesive value system that enables our students to become enterprising, caring, resilient and responsible young people. We educate girls intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically, striving for each girl’s personal excellence of endeavour.
From ELC… to Year 6
In the ELC and Junior School, Mrs Libby Cumming, Director of the ELC and Mrs Alana Moor, Head of ELC and Barbreck, work with the Principal, Mrs Sylvia Walton, to lead a committed team of early learning professionals and class teachers who are responsible for the nurturing and development of the girls (and ELC boys) in their care.
Moving to Senior School
All of the transition programs at St Catherine’s School allow our girls to enter into their Senior School life with increased confidence and ease. At St Catherine’s School, we strive to make unique connections for our girls between the Junior School and Senior School environments, giving our girls opportunities to extend themselves beyond the traditional Junior School arena whilst they are in Year 6. Mrs Patty Wallace-Smith, Director of Curriculum and Ms Jennifer Molloy, Dean of Year 7, work with Mrs Alana Moor, Head of Barbreck, Mrs Lyn Henshall, Director of Student Wellbeing and Ms Cheryl Anthony, Registrar, to coordinate the smooth transition from Junior to Senior School.

Led by the Principal, Mrs Sylvia Walton, Mr Paul Cross, Head of Senior School, Mrs Patty Wallace-Smith, Director of Curriculum and Mrs Lyn Henshall, Director of Student Wellbeing, Senior School educators are focused on ensuring the academic success, personal development, health and wellbeing of students.
