Sport
Sport is an important part of life at St Catherine's School. An extensive curricular program of Physical Education is augmented by a wide variety of co-curricular sports in which students may choose to take part, including Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Scccer, Cross Country Running, Equestrian, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Rowing (from Year 9), Skiing, Softball, Surf Lifesaving, Swimming & Diving, Tennis and Volleyball.

Students finishing Year 12 have the opportunity to join the Catherine's School coaching team to play an active role in the coordination and delivery of the sporting program.
GSV Interschool Sport
St Catherine's School is an inaugural member of Girls Sports Victoria (GSV), one of the largest independent school sporting associations in Victoria.
Twenty four Independent Girls' Schools from across the State have formed this body, within which a wide range of interschool sports meetings and competitions are administered for students in Years 7 to 12 in sports such as Australian Football, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, DanceSport, Fencing, Golf, Hockey, Indoor Cricket, Netball, Soccer, Softball, Surf Life Saving, Tennis, Volleyball and Waterpolo. Junior Interschool Sport
In the Junior School, students participate in a range of interschool sports competitions against members of the Girls' Schools Association (GSA) and the Victorian Primary Schools Sports Association (VPSSA). Junior students who meet the selection criteria may also join the School's Skiing, Athletics and Swimming and Diving squads.
House Sports
The inter House system complements the interschool sports program and provides a wide range of opportunities for students in the Senior and Junior Schools to try their hand at a range of sports. House events are conducted seasonally throughout the year.
Rowing
Starting in Year 8, from Term 4 students have the opportunity to participate in the St Catherine's Rowing Club. For more information click here.
