School Performance Reports

Commencing for the year of 2006, St Catherine’s School generates annual reports comprising information required for publication by the Federal Government. It is designed to report to the public key aspects identified by the Federal Government as linked to the performance of Schools in Australia. St Catherine’s School will continue to collect Performance information as a means of informing our Best Practice goals and our School’s commitment to ongoing improvement.

Although following a template recommended through the Association of Independent School of Victoria (AiSV), there are a range of ways that Schools can choose to determine and present this information. St Catherine’s School is committed to the open, quantifiable (where appropriate) and transparent reporting of this information. It should be noted that some areas of reporting and information gathering will undergo further development and improvement in the future.

At St Catherine’s School we view this as a positive process that endeavours to identify areas in the School that require improvement and therefore inform further strategic planning and progress as well as highlighting aspects of the School that can be acknowledged and celebrated. St Catherine’s School is pleased to include its 2006 Performance information data for perusal and use.

Parents are invited to participate in our on-line parent survey found in the parent secure section of the website.

St Catherine

St Catherine of Alexandria is the Christian patron saint of young girls and students, nurses and of craftsmen whose work is based on a wheel, such as spinners and millers.

Catherine lived in the fourth century, and was persecuted for her religious beliefs. The 'Catherine Wheel' is named after the wheel on which she was tortured. St Catherine's Day is November 25.
